What is a good know configuration with xtc mode?

My motherboard is annoying... it radiates electric noise onto on of my pulsar cards.. It's not a problem with my cards, i have tested with others and its the same problem.
I also need to disable a core to get things running smoothly in xtc mode.
And when i connect a controller (bcf2000) and use it in cubase/reaper, i get midiloops..
there is just a general grounding problem with the motherboard. It detects usb things connected out of the blue..

So i'm getting another one..
I think i have read that intel boards work fine??
This i my current setup:
ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS

cpu:
AMD athlon 64x2 dual core processor.

I want to keep the CPU.

thanks alot!

I'm using a DFI LanParty x38 DK, with a quad core, and XTC works perfectly with Reaper.
I think DFI makes the same series for athlon processors.
