new PC setup - thoughts?

Hi guys,
I thought I would ask here as you're more likely to know than me ;)

I'm shortly going to be completely updating my PC with a midrange scope card at it's hub. Could I have opinions on setups that wouldn't have any compatability issues?

I've no problem buying individual parts
I'm not looking for things like monitors / keyboards, only internal hardware
I guess I'm looking at £400 or so to spend, but there may be a git of give in that amount...

Thank you!

J

well, to be honest I'd rather start from scratch. My previous setup was incredibly backwards as it was designed to use both the Pulsar and the Korg Oasys cards in the same machine. a diffulcult task.

So, consider this a build from the floor up. (though as I said, don't worry about monitors, mice, and dvd drives)

I guess that leaves us with
CPU
PSU
Motherboard
memory
case

I think that about covers it. Oh, would be good if they were all as silent as possible.

Thanks!

do you need a motherboard with built in video or do you have a PCI-e video card.

I'd like to use 2 outputs (for two seperate monitors) at least one with digital, so I imagine a seperate video card would be of use...

So I guess include that in the list, haha...

Thanks
