That's exactly what has happenend. I can't find any vendors in Denmark who sells the Asus p4p800! So now im wondering which mobo?
Should i pick another mobo from the Asus p4p series or should i go for an Intel d865perl? There are three different perl models at my favourite vendor though. The difference is which controller is used for storage. I don't really know which one to choose. I'm still going to use my old HD (which i think is ATA-66 or 100), but im going to buy some new ones at some point. Is the serial ATA 150 backward compatible? Or i there just some Asus board to go for? As you can see, i'm a bit confused since the disapperance of my beloved p4p800... I hope you guys can help me a bit here!

BTW im going for an intel p4 3ghz and 1gb corsair Twin-X ram.

garyb i too looking to get the 865perl, although i've heard good things about the 875pbz...

what is the advantage of the 875 over 865 chipset? I as a rule tend to prefer the "newer" and i also read alot of people's posts on Planetz here that use the 875 without any problems whatsoever..

Happy PBX875 user here! The only thing is don't use onboard LAN. The PERL 865 (one L) is also excellent. I was going to get that but my CW dealer suggested the 875, and it's been rock solid.

lysergide, both will work fine. the 865 board works flawlessly and it is about $40 cheaper.....
