Hi
I am running a Power Pulsar (PCI slot 3) above a Pulsar 2 (PCI slot 4), which I believe is the correct order in which to fit the cards (largest first). They are sharing the same IRQ etc and all other aspects of my system are working fine.

However I do occasionally get the 'unexpected DSP overload' message even when using modest SFP resources (30%). I have read similar posts to this one:

and would like to know how I might change the order of the cards within the cset.ini file. This file currently tells me (under [Host-Config]) that Numboards=1 and that Board0=Host. Is it right that changing the order of these entries can solve this problem?

Thanks!

Yeah, seems right to me.

But, how about temperature inside?

I found that those cards generate alot of heat, and using 2 cards even more. STDM communications seems sensitive to this. Also loading big module at startup, like the STM2448 can cause this sometimes. Maybe ligthen up abit the startup project?

Just some ideas...

Hi
Thanks for replies everyone. m/b temp is 30 and processor never exceeds 50 (6 fans) so heat probably not the problem.

Anyone know which part of the cset.ini file I (may) need to change??

Thanks

[Also: I run my cards in XTC mode and use the default XTCProject.pro file]
