Have you checked the PCI-bus speed?
The Pulsar is only capable of running at 33 MHz.
Well that was my first idea - it's propably not the problem though.....
Also, try to place the pulsar in different PCI-slots, it might make a difference.

Also, make sure you do not share Pulsar's IRQ with anything else, you must have one exclusively for using with Pulsar.

What PCI slot is everyone using..? My scope card is bit too big for my case and all my periphals. So now its using pci 4 (5 is also possible) But it shares irq 23 with my raid controller (s-ata raid on deluxe version). Everything runs fine but i've got these nasty crackles when starting up and now and then some instrument hangs or freaks out (especially the newer creamware releases: minimax, vinco pro -one)

Have you seen this thread?
(in case you have something connected to midi-in on your Pulsar)
http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=1&4
Also, if you don't use RAID, you can disable it in the BIOS.

things you need to do in the bios for this motherboard.
1. disable the onboard sound
2. disable the hyper threading
3. disable RAID
4. diable plug and play
5. don't hook up all the USB's a they take resources. this mainboard come with 8xUSB's and I don't think you need all of them.
make sure you got XP in standard mode
If you are going to use any Sony sonic foundry stuff you need to disable the onboard promise controller too.
cheers

If this gets too complicated, just go and kill your C drive with a kill application, like you can find in Seagate and Maxtor sites. Then do a complete reinstall of everything. If you can solve the problem otherwise, great, but sometimes solving a software problem is so complicated and it takes so much time, that it is much easyer, most of all if you have just started, starting from radical 0 again.
