Hello there,
when I play any song(contain 8/9 tracks) sometimes it sound wired …scratch sound… or digital distortion?? Could anyone tell me how to solve that?
My setup:
P4 1.4
Asus socket 423 intel 850 chipset
512 RDRAM
Pulsar 2 plus
Asus VGA
40GB 7200rpm Seagate barracuda
80GB 7200rpm Seagate.
XP pro
Cubase SX
** I had tune my xp for cubase sx (www.musicxp.net)
thanks
need help
please tell me what eles do i need to tell you to explain " system is configured"
example of my song:
*SX- using six audio track(2 stereo + 4 mono)
*Rewire REASON 1.1 = using 1 midi track to Dr Rex (using reason as sound module)
*I had open 24 asio ch in 2496 mixer and open 9 bus from SX and distribute each track to each bus so that I can eq each track from CW mixer
*latency settings in the ULLI is 6ms and not using xtc mode.
Please take my apology ..... i don't know much about pc recording though i'm doing music for last 17 years.
thanks a lot
**this is one big forum....i got almost lost.

yes spoimala, i had check ... all tracks are under -5dB and master meter is under -3dB.
Maybe borg was right i need to pull down my latency settings( my first latency was 7ms @ 44,100 khz....next i tried 10ms but got the same problem ...and can't check latency 13ms due to electricity....it went off) guys what is your latency? is that for my 100Mhz 1.4 pentium4 processor? (front side bus)
anyway thanks to all

You didn’t tell anything about your Power Supply, which trademark is it and HOW MUCH power do you have? Is it a 250 or 300 Watts? This may be the very reason. Let’s start by this, so we can start discarding things as we think about them.
This has been the problem for many people, and changing their Power Supply was the solution. It may be your problem. I can't tell, but it just may. Please, answer this one and let's see how much power you have.

thanks Nestor,
when i change my latency down to 13ms/44100khz ...it seems that wired sound went away (maybe... who knows i'll have start it again after 3 days...so i'm not feeling confident)
** i'm using a 300w power supply(non-brand made in china) you will not belive our pc market is fully captured by china. low price... god knows what we are using.
*** thanks to Nastor, spoimala and borg for giving your valuable time.
