Hi all.

I just reinstalled XP, in Standard Pc-mode this time, and by god this seems solid!
however, i now have to turn off my computer manually.

i'm think i read somewhere that this has something to do with ACPI vs Standard Pc but surely there's got to be some setting in XP that will allow auto-shutdown. (i.e the computer turns itself off after windows logout.)

Happy midsummer everyone!

In Win2000 after selecting Standard pc I had to go into Display properties and enable APM (advanced power management).
Maybe there is something similiar for XP.
