Hi all,

I'm currently planning to update my pc one of the months. I'm probably going to stick on the intel platform (since I dont have any problems with it) but I was wondering..
How well does creamware perform on dual cpu systems ??
I did some searching on the board and on the net but I couldn't find any up to date info on the subject. I did read that there were some problems with creamware and the pci bus on dual cpu systems but does this is also include the workstation boards that have multiple pci busses ?

Any advice on the subject would be very usefull

BTW i have currently 2 mainboards in my mind, the the tyan tiger I7505 and the Tyan thunder I7505

As to your dualcpu question I think you should ask At0mic 'bout that I know he has (or had) a dualcpu system running with his CW setup. Might note that with current CPU's why would you need a dualCPU anyway?

I'm running a 3.0ghz P4 now and I have plenty horsepower left under the hood lol.

Had dual P3 for a year, and had loads of problems with it. Currently there's a topic about HT. I'm curious on how SFP reacts to it. I had many problems with SFP device keys not being recognised etc, on dual cpu.

Now I'm running Asus P4B533 with P4 2,533GHz. It's a machine, does what it's supposed to do and no more surprises for me.
I would not try another dual unless it's been reported to run smooth, but haven't seen those reports yet....

i just put a card in a dual p3 slot1 machine with a asus p3cd mobo(intel 820 chipset)and 1gb rambus.i've been using it for demonstrations and so far,no surprises.(well,except that it works....)

really though, i only used that computer because i had it,not because i thought it would work.i also have a 1.8 ghz p4 and i trust it more,although that dual is pretty fast.....single processors are pretty fast right now,i would think that a single would be plenty useful..........
