few days ago i instaled ma new computer:
P4C800 DELUXE, Intel I875P, FSB 800,
P4 - mPGA 3,0/800 512K
HDD 160GB BARRACUDA-S-ATA 7200
Corsair XMS 512 MB DDR400 (2gb)
everything working good. i had some problems with disk because xp can't see more than 137gb of capacity. i fix this by instaling service pack 1. now, when i did particions i can use whole disk space even without services pack instaled.
i'm litle disaponted because intel didn't fix denormalisation bug. fortunately, i have only one song with this problem and i fix this by changing vst delay efect with other delay.
now i have only one problem. i change old geforce2 with ati radeon 92000 which won't work good. i have some very strange behavior in wavelab.
hm, micha already told me that ati isn't good for us, but i didn't listen

so, i want change video card for another?

So?
Still the nicest 2D you can have is with Matrox...(SFP, DVD, any office apps), with totally respectable 3D perfs.
No fan at all on this card, and as always, excellent drivers from matrox.
Personnaly, ATI is one of the worst card you can get, but this is my own opinion.

What's the problem with ATI? I have a Radeon 9100 and it hasn't given me any problems yet.
Do you have the latest drivers installed?

I think this is the known Radeon-Canterwood bug.
Try this: go into bios and disable fastwrites, and try to force your agp to 4x.
This should take care of your problems straight away

thanks, valium, but i can't find this option in the bios? also, i don't know what means 4x? where i can set this.
hm, now i go to search in bios again.

i stil can't find "fastwrites" in the bios, but i just fix this by changing setting in wavelab:
wavelab/options/preferences/do not use gradient backgrounds
now is graphic little diferent (even more cool to me

) but faster and without this strange graphic behavior.
hm, step by step i learn how to handle with this new hardware's miracle

Well the radeon is known to have some little issues with the canterwood/springdale chipsets. The workaround is to disable fastwrites and set the agp-bus to 4speed instead of 8speed (no software even uses full 4speed so you won't even notice it). Look in the manual of your mobo and you should find the options. I don't have the p4c800 mobo but I do have a p4p800 one and I did the same thing, it solved all of my problems

i want to share my experienced here and also ask for help.
i instal asus p4c800 with p4/3.0.
first i instal computer as APIC multiprocessors PS and i had only error with SFP. all the time i had messages "system can't find DSP file "xxx", please check your instalation.
then i tryed to insatl computer as standr pc by pressing f7 during xp instalation (like i always did) but than i had "MPS uniprocessor PC". in this mode i even can't instal chipset drivers.
then i instal computer as "ACPI PC". finaly, now pulsar working perfect like always did before, but i have some "minor" problem with my uad-1 card when i work in wavelab. everything else working good and stable.
and in the end i try to instal computer as "standard pc" by pressing f5 and chooseing "standard pc" during xp instalation. in "standard pc" mode my system won't to instal uad's drivers and also i can't find apm to shut down computer properly.
i'm totaly comfused now 'cos nothing's like before. i sale my good old asus p4t-e and p4/2.2 for simbolic price and spend big money for new system what works worst then before.
any suggestion will be nice?!

I don't know if this has any relevance to your problems but you should disable Hyperthreading as well.
This has been known to cause problems with for ex. Cubase SX (which does'nt support it)and the TC Powercore.
How? I here you ask.
I have absolutley no idea.
Check the manual.

what!not problems with the powercore!

he, he... i understand your sarcasam, garyb, and you have right.
i don't have powercore, but i have aud-1.
uad sounds great without doubts, but this is verry simple software (i guess) in comparison with sfp.
jupiter8 have right. now i see, ht makes manny problems to pulsar card, but for pulsar always have some solution instead of uad.
uad just made new version of software but he didn't fix some good knowing strange behaviors from last version, also we don't have any single response about that from mackie/uad combo.
the answer, my friend garyb, is blowing in the wind...
yes, jupiter8, i just disable ht in bios and did new fresh instalation of xp. now computer (by default) is instaled as "ACPI uniprocessor PC" and works good... by now
more experiences?!?!?

I have the P4C800 Deluxe, and Pulsar is working fine - at least visually.
I'm not getting any audio out of the mixers, or even direct i/o device setups - even though I see activity on the mixer meters - I do NOT see activity on the master meter section, and NO audio output whatsoever.
I've emailed Creamware support regarding this issue with no response (yet).
Anyone have any ideas as to what I need to turn off/on to get things to work?

PowerSampler
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
MSI/Nvidia video (with dual-head)
3Ghz P4
1Gig Corsair RAM
USB turned off
Hyperthreading is ON
AGP is set to 8X (4X made no difference)
