I have the Promise Ultra ATA 100 card on my P3BF mobo... can I use both the ide connections on the mobo and the card to get 4 different hard drives connected on the same system?

Also, I currently have Win98SE and my projects are all on the older Pulsar 3.01 software recorded with the tripleDAt plugin (won't run with XP)...
I want to upgrade to SFP, WinXP and samplitude, but keep the older stuff as well for possible remixes, comp CDs, etc...
Can my system have both win98 AND XP?

Thanks to all you tech geniuses,
Mike

Yes, as long as you have the proper drivers installed.

As for Win98 and XP, the answer is yes and there are lots of ways to do it. Do you have a specific configuration in mind?

As far as configuration is concerned.... I only want to preserve my ability to go back and work with previous projects that were recorded with the old software in win98...
Am I making sense? I don't know what config. would be best... maybe put new harddrives and XP on the Ultra 100 ide connections and the old harddrives with 98SE on the mobo ides????
