hey,

My Norton Ghost came with a program called speed disk. The manual claims that it is better than defragging. I think they are maybe right for OS/programs HD, but i doubt it is true for my music harddisk. Does anyone know anything about this? :???:

thanks,

Mythalethe

I have Norton Utilities (an older version), but it works fine with my win98se.Speedisk seems faster than defrag and has more options imho. It takes frequently used files to the fastest sectors of your drive.

So far, speedisk has been working great! I have it installed on my non-music multiboot partition, and you can still use it on the music partitions withoutloading the bulky Norton program onto them!
