Clones are just a modern way of reproduction. I have no problem with it. I would like to raise a younger twin brother.
It strikes me as odd that you have to take a test before you can drive a car yet anyone is allowed to reproduce, even criminals and stupid people.

That's at work in our society anyway, but in a very poor form IMHO. It's the disspirited, hopeless and generally less intellectual portion of the the population which is breeding the most.
There are also extremely few penalties against irresponsible males who simply sire children in one women after another but refuse to support them. Why should those types be the most successful breeders ?

I think the "punishing irresponsible stalions" part is not really nazi at all.. I mean, it's a bit different from trying to wipe out all other races because of genetic deficiency..
It is quite intersting though, as you say, that people who have more than enough time on their hands, seem to breed more often. The similarity between the successful and the unsuccessful, though, is that either way, people don't want responsibility. They either don't have kids, or have them, and try not to face the fact. Kids are becoming unwanted burdens? Then that would be a problem of the entire human race.
I mean, they don't want real kids.. who'd want cloned kids? And the world's already over populated anyway.
It's so strange.. people make all sorts of contraceptives, but research clones? As if they're trying to make sex some sort of sports, and leave reroduction for all other means? When did humans become an asexually reproducing species? LOL

As for the strange cult.. well, they can believe in whatever they want to. Sure ain't good image for cloning tho, since if their story is true, the that'll be the world's first clone baby. Definitely done by the wrong crowd of people. To me, the whole cloning business is kind of wierd. Clone lungs, hearts, bone marrow, or whatever is cool.. but an entire human being is a bit pointless. Cuz if a baby is what you want, there's always the old way to doing it. Which leaves cloning for situations where genetic accuracy is involved. And then that leaves a whole lot of marginal ways of using the technology.
I thought cloning was banned as of '97 anyway. (some sort of international agreement) Maybe my teacher lied. Cloning is useless.. you can't make a copy of yourself and transfer your brain. That's been proven not to work already. You can't chop off your arm and get a new one. Anything that does environmental adaptation (especially bones) don't work. Anything with a mixture of different types of tissues (like an arm) don't work. Yet. It'll be cool if they get the arm part done tho. Forget the brain transfer bit.. That'll probably impossible forever.
I've read NASA is doing a research on cloning meat. Like cloning serloin steaks, so they can "grow" meat in space stations without bothering with a herd of cows. Now that's realistic.

I read somewhere (will try to find the link) that the scientists who did the "dolly the sheep" clone says that there is a very large failure rate among clone attempts. Even worse, many clones that are born have profound genetic defects and a much shorter lifespan. The clone process is not yet perfected, they are not "exact" replicas at all.
As to bringing up a clone of myself God help me ! That's the last thing I'd want. I live in hopeful expectation that my son will be *much* nicer than I was

For what I know of realiens from Quebec, (not that I want to gossip or anything -I've known people who were in their "club") they have compulsory sexual syndrome, and they use to ensnare pretty young girls by telling them that if they have sex only with Rael, they will be the first to breed with the extra-terrestrial species when they arrive on Earth. That's how he build his harem. Their victims are often nice, naive persons who get trapped in their psychic net and this is really unfortunate, especially for those who are the deceivers...
Maybe your swollen intellect might need to learn its place. Because you don't know of a thing does not take it out of existence, and the Great Life does not wait after stubborn intellects to create and run systems of world like the one in which we have the chance to embody.
I humbly suggest a more open attitude regarding Sacred Divine Messengers who came here to show us the way out of self-annihilation. What the "religious authorities" say about it matters not, and I'm not a catholic, but it's thanks to Christic Love that our planet still supports life! Speaking about Jesus's work is something and pushing young girls into lust is a wholly different story.
