I don't know that case but from the picture i would say it's silent because it's not well ventilated. Fan on top is blowing inside the case : stupid mistake, it should be at the bottom of the case, one for noise (currently its closer to your ears), and for heat purpose (heat goes up and you need something to suck hot air out of the case : in the picture hot air goes up, then is blown down by the fan : result, air mix and gets a bit warmer, while evacuation of hot air is not optimized).
Bad design....
If you have money, take a termaltake, textorm, or the best, Lian Li, All those case are great for magnetic radiations (aluminium), heat (lots of room for fans or else) and use acoustic foam in the case (just as the one pictured in the link above : at the bottom, it's the same foam found in cooler master phonic kit, 29.90 €)

The Lian Li case cost just as much as that tower so you'd better go for that one instead. If you buy the right components the computer is going to be so silent it does'nt matter much what case you have.
Tips
http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/rd.php?r ... 7&toc=3060
together with this
http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/rd.php?r ... 7&toc=3060
and you'll never hear the CPU fan again.
And another of those fans in Power supply, then you wan't hear that either.
If you have a noisy graphics card fan, try this
http://www.microplex.no/rubweb/rd.php?r ... 7&toc=3060
and last a couple more of the Pabst fans for the cabinett and i can almost guarantee you a silent computer.

I add that if i favor heat over silence, that's because of my 22 dsp in one computer, + 3 hard disk, including scsi, 2 burners and a graphic card.... Especially the dsp, i whish they will last very very long. I've been using a not well ventialted case for 3 years and the scope board is slightly deformed. If i had, say, a luna, 1 HD, may be i would go for such a case, but there are some that seem better in all aspects (price included). I don't remember the reference of the one I saw, that looks superior for silence and for heat managment...
so would this be a silent computer.

my goal is to be able to record in the same room as my computer.

This message will selfdestruct in 20 seconds.
frankly, I have a friend who owns those regfrigerated silent case where you put your comp inside (the things at 1500 Euro/$ and more) and he cannot record in the same room. even with this he put the computers in a special cupboard outside the studio.
Now, it's the fans of his adda converters and few other gears that get recorded

In regards to power supplies, I have an enermax EG465AX-VE(G)(FMA).
The unit is fairly well designed, in that if you turn the adjuster knob all the way down it is to my ears virtually silent.
The only thing you may hear is the second fan which is temperature controlled, and is not loud but makes a slight whirring noise even at low speeds.
On my unit, is it possible to disconnect this fan without removing any "warranty void" stickers. And then the supply does indeed become silent. As the fan I think is designed to remove hot air from the case not the powersupply.
(Thanks go to Neutron I think for that tip some time ago)
Beware of the 'whisper' range, I heard somewhere that they are pretty loud
Quality wise at the moment the antec power supplies seem to be king of the hill, especially among overclockers because the power rails are adjustable by pots inside, which makes for better overclocking.
But as to quietness I cannot comment.

I think you should concentrate more on getting quiet components inside than on the case. I just ordered the parts i told you about and can report my progress in a weeks time. And i live in Norway as well so maybe you could even come and listen to it when i am finished!!!
BTW get Seagate barracuda HD:s. IV:s or preferably V:s as they're some decibels quiter.

I live in Oslo, so no luck there.
I don't know what happened to the links. I see now that they all point to the same page.
Anyways, what i ordered is the following.
A Swiftech MCX 4000 B cooling block for the CPU. This one together with a Papst 12 dB fan will hopefully give sufficient cooling for the CPU. If not i'll buy a 19 dB pabst.
Those fans are so quiet it is unbelieveble.
You can't hear them unless you have your ear almost touching the fanblades.
I've ordered several more of them to have in the case.
And then i've ordered a Zalman ZM80AHP fanless cooler to replace the noisy fan on my Geforce 4 graphics card. You'll probably don't need this one as i believe there is no fan on your graphic card.
I've also ordered an Enermax fan to have in the power supply. It comes with a regulator so i can just turn down the RPM so i don't hear it anymore. That way i have it at maximum "noiseless" speed, if you know what i mean.
And don't forget the Artic Silver III goop for the CPU cooler.Expensive but very good. This one alone makes your CPU run a few degrees cooler.

Incidentally I recently had an enermax 350W silent PSU fail, only half as old as my PC Power & cooling 420W one and my antec 400w. I'm trying to get the enermax rma'd (it's only 9 months old) but I've found out that I must ship it back to the place I bought it (i've since moved away from california) as enermax doesn't honor rma's in a timely fashion (the guy on the phone said he's too busy and it'd take 3-4 months--rather rude.)
Having to pay shipping to & from to get a replacement for something that will likely fail again seems silly to me...
