Just saw that there's a new public beta driver for Windows 2000/XP users:

These drivers are much better than any previous ones. Using Pulsar 2 with ULLI at 7 ms I can get Sonar 2 down to 5.8ms effective latency. At 3ms ULLI I'm sure latency will be reduced further but I don't need it much better than 5.8ms and there may be the risk of dropouts in Sonar with lot's of audio tracks. Playback and Stop playback is very responsive. No blue screens yet. When using more than 9 wave devices the devices now show up in proper numerical order in applications. Watch for possible midi-audio not in sync occasionally. It happened to me about 3 times within an hour's worth of use. Stopping playback and hitting start again fixes it. These drivers are 95% there now!

I agree with bc - these drivers are good. I had the MIDI timing thing before these beta drivers, with the 3.1c ones. The MIDI is out by a mile, but you just stop and restart and it's fine.

I've set ULLI to 3ms (Luna II and Pulsar I) and got SONAR latency right down to 1.5ms. I'll have to test it with more audio tracks (I'm only using about 6 - 8 right now) and some softsynths (which I can finally use!!).

These drivers are a big improvment though.
