Every time I've been working on a project for a while, I start throwing out the FX from the mixers and I put them in a MultiFX rack, so I have more midi remote CC# available.

Now as long as the FX are inside the mixer, it's quite obvious which track they belong to. It get's harder once the MultiFX is outside the mixer. Imagine, 10 MultiFx racks, nameless in the Livebar and project. I have to search sometimes which belongs where. Some text insert space on a MultiFx would be nice, so we could copy the channel name in there.

Great idea. Or even better automatically display which channel it's connected to

Haha, make it both  Don't you put tape on your hardware devices to mark their I/O's? I do.

I keep a 'routing map' on my wall if I ever forget which ports on the A16 Ultras devices are connected to...

But with the "External Effects" device, I rarely look this up now!
