I'm still feeling really upset about the whole Apple buying Emagic and discontinuing Logic support, so in some ways I feel "happy" about this but when I really think about it - all of this is lame and hurts the end user. I wish Logic would still be supported on PC and that MS would continue Mac support. What was that about embracing change?

Reminds me a bit on the german election "warfare"...
But honestly: Now, on my PC, the only Microsoft product is use is the OS (Win98SE), nothing else, because i really dislike MS Softs and because there are always a lot of (professional) alternatives. So if would go and buy a Mac, be sure i won´t go for MS again.
And didn´t evolve Logic Audio from a tiny Motorola-Based Computer, and was made available several years later to the Intel-Based Platform? So its okay with me that both platforms go their own way, because IMHO the work philosophies of Logic and Mac match, as well as the ones of Cubase (or Nuendo) and Win-PCs.
And please let´s not forget how many companies were bought out from microsoft and Intel - in this business the word "fairness" cannot be expected.

As a Mac user I can compare the 2 OSes (Mac OS classic and Win 9.x/ME)and must say Mac OS is simplier to use (with no emotions in the sentence, just cold say) and easier to configure/install/uninstall etc. Yesterday I was forced to upgrade my wife's PC (P2B, PIII 450, 3GB, 196MB) with a new GeForce MX 200/32MB graphic card. Just this. It took me 3 hours with no results. Windows sucks! (OK, perhaps I'm not enough qualified to do such simple plug'n pray stuff). On the other hand..... all the Microsoft software I can use on my Mac is brilliant (IE, OE, WindowsMedia Player), not conflicting with other software/hardware installed... The conclusion is not too simple to say. You can't say Bill Gates's products sucks. But you can't say they are cool, either. As in real life - some things are good some not...

Win Xp? Isn't the os that is quite similar to earlier released MacOS X?

Sorry, I don't want to start the 'what is better' argument. I thought my previous words unite the two oposite worlds. There is no winner nor loser.
