I like the introduction very much, the sound of the guitar, bass and drums are great. Then I like the blues coming at about 2.30. Then the trumpet solo it’s great! (Sorry if it is not a trumpet)
The melody itself, lead by the vocals lacks something, but I’m not clear about what… Don’t really like the melody of the voices anyway. Then… when you go with the little ear ensemble, I love it! Quite unexpected changes in the form of the song.

hehe... presidents of the u.s.a meets rush meets the 60's meets the.....
you guys can play, no doubt about it. actually it would be interesting to hear something more "radio-adapted" from you..
so far, according to my own taste, wayne's the most reliable and interesting pulsarian on display here.
keep it up!

Well thankyou guys, your words make my day!

I will tell Andy, the bloke in Melbourne who wrote this silly song and he'll get a big kick out of that, too.
cheers

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I absolutely *adore* it!!!

I thought Balcan and in general Eastern Mediterranean people were the only crazy ones in the world to use odd rhythms in their music...Are you sure you are Australian!??
Since you "counted" my 7/4 piece (which was completely straight-forward in comparison to your masterpiece

) , and since you "chalenged" me to count yours, I did count it

The only "difficult" part was the section with the 2 guitars and the descending figure on the top guitar in the phrygian mode...
So, my counting: (I refer to semiquavers)
43/223 (7/16) 3times, followed by 32323 (13/16)
the phrygian mode part:
223/222 (7/16+6/16) 7times followed by
222/222/222/2222 (6/16...4/8) 2times
then comes the voice, same as the beginning
then mixolydian instrumental part:
22222223 (4/8 + 9/16=2223)
then the vocal part in the mixolydian mode:
in 9/4=2223
and then I got bored counting
I love when the first motive (43223) comes in the brass in the blues (12/8) section!
Well done! All my respect to your musicality
