Tech Question for the Super Geeks:
In a multiple-card setup, do all cards use the PCI bus bandwidth, or does only Board 0 utilize the PCI bus and Board 1 communicate internally with board 0 via the STDM bus? Or do all boards use the PCI bus?

The "first" card handles all PCI communication.
The rest communicate via the STDM bus.

Algorhythm did ask for a "SuperGeek" answer, so:
All the audio data travels thru the S-TDM buss, from card to card, and via board0 PCI to and from the host system.
Other data, such as downloading of dspcode to the chips and certain control and status messages still goes thru the PCIbus of the induvidual cards.

A thing to consider (as I did recently):
When adding a scope SRB (15dsp) card to a pulsar2 setup, move the io-plate from the pulsar to the scope, make the scope board0, thus making it the PCI-master, and 'degrade' your pulsar2 to a srb. This way the card that will probably account for the biggest data-traffic (because most processing is done here) has become pci-busmaster.
Just an idea.

Robert, that's exactly what I did
Works great. Only 14 DSP are left though, one is now assigned for I/O management. Could anyone who's using Scope SRB w/o I/O board check his DSP load? The total number will include the 15 DSP's, but how about the detailed view below? I see only 14, with the I/O board on the SRB. Maybe we loose one DSP for the I/O management now, I don't know, so maybe we better keep the I/O's on Pulsar2 or something? Could someone verify?

AFAIK all Scope boards use one chip for "the system".

You're right, I just swapped I/O board back to PulsarII to make sure, and in DSP load only 14 DSP show for the Scope SRB. So I'll put the IO board back on Scope I guess...
