Does the A16 Ultra work with the Elektra? I can't work it out from the creamware website? I assume it does as it uses zlink, but I would like to be sure.

Yes it does, 8 channels via ZLINK, to get all 16 you need the Luna Expansion Plate which adds another Zlink and 2xADAT I/os...
