Hmmm... This is a first!

While transferring files through my network from my SCSI drive (music work) to another PC (via USB Network), I attempted to create another folder on the SCSI drive and organise some files during the transfer, then, this error appeared:

Physical Memory Dump

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal - blah blah blah
mrxsmb.sys - blah blah blah

Had to reset the box....

Anyone else experience this?!

Thx!

"mrxsmb.sys" is a file-system
driver that interacts with the lower-level network drivers.

try disabling the indexing service as well which interacts with it.

if you look on http://ftp.attitud.com/pub/maj/sp3w2kfix.htm
you will see that there are lots and lots of win2k bugs involving this file. (win2k in this case, but the xp one is probably the same) it think you can get a replacement from MS in the next service pack.

Actually, I rather like it better than having a NIC inside. Kinda lightens the load off! Also, the performance is staggering - except when I encountered this error (so far, only twice).

If I had a NIC then, I would have to share the USB, SCSI, and the NIC; now, I am only forced to share the USB and SCSI. Perhaps this can make it unstable. However, I have no other choice as the CUBX is a very limited board - share's too much! At least the Pulsar card is isolated now! And it performs a lot better now!
