Somebody asked about auditioning files. If this tip has already been mentioned forgive me. For Macintosh, the March or April Computer Music (British Magazine) (corrected from being Keyboard Magazine) has a tip about using iTunes. You basically create a custom list for all the files you want to audition. Saves having to open up a bunch of separate windows in Quick Time, etc.
