I own both.
It's set up to control my K5000.
In scope, I'm fine with mouse.

I miss my BCF, should not have gotten rid of it.

As long you own it, it seems to waste space.
As soon you sell it, you miss it.
The only way to solve this challenge is to claim more and more storage space

Agreed! In my case it was moving and not having enough space, but the things I sold knowing I would not use them for a while should have been stored, agreed!

Well I changed mine to a ZAQuencer years ago and had a blast with it but lately it has been sitting collecting dust. I might reload the original sysex and have a go with this new web based programming software.

Just curious; would this new editor entice you to start using it again?
I bought mine and immediately changed the software to a Zaquencer which was fun for a while but hasn't seen use lately. So I really don't know how involved it is to program with the original software.
Converting it back to a controller would be nifty but I really don't have a convenient spot for it right now. So......

Not really. If I want to do hardware style sequencer I would use my Akai MPC Key37.

Nah not the ZAQ sequencer. I was referring to the new web based MIDIQ BCR editor (youtube link in first post)

I never enjoyed HUI style workflows, I'm not a commercial studio where I pump through output. I want a knob or a slider to be there, always doing its thing, or something similar, so that it's a tactile interface that becomes second nature for that sound, part or thing that it changes.

I did like it for that, in fact the ability to set sliders to 14bit mode (send each on a separate midi channel and use pitchbend, 1 channel per slider) was very appreciated for Logic's ability to map that to its internal fader(s) & etc. It was even enough resolution to comfortably DJ (set one to coarse, another to fine for pitch control and forget the beat grid sync crap).

However there is no desk room where I am, and I still have more than half of my old room in boxes. Somehow I knew it would be that way for a few years, and when I am in a larger climate controlled spot I will reward myself with a higher end replacement. Maybe I'll also find a perfect condition replacement for that too!
