Trade of used gear between Australia and EU

Post by banex982 »

Does anyone have expirience in packages between Australia and EU countries? Between EU countries there is no customs, but my guy that buys stuff in EU than bring them to me in Serbia (not EU) wrote to me that he doesnt do deals with Australia because of additional charges. Is that right and how much is it?

your own customs department could give the best answer.
often, it depends on the value of the item and whether it is new or used.
couldn't the item be sent directly between Australia and Serbia?

it could but customs are so high that noone does that. There are middleman who can bring anything for 10% of the value but only from EU countries. And I have a guy that brings me everything, I just specify address in Austria (huge number of Serbians work and live there) he picks that up and once a month bring stuff for many people that ordered stuff like me. Corruption in service of people lol

Had my XITE-1D imported direct from Germany to Melbourne Australia no extra charges. On the other hand my mate shipped his 15DSP scope card to Germany for repair and it was stolen. Expect the unexpected.
