Hi Mo/Pearl

How goes with native - is it still your style of working?

thanks subhuman. noah looks boring. and how much sharcs does it come with? three? four? and how 'fast' are they? still at the old 60 mhz speed? but, hey. what a price. 2000 $, incredible. yes, that´s exactly the way everyone´s going... more hardware, less software - yeah, you got the thing, creamware  thank god i dropped this

and hoia, immanuel  i just can say, i feel free now. i can work again. i am in no way limited in my daily way of producing. one gigahertz is the solution  native gigahertz... and it didn´t cost 1000 €, but just 100 €
and my pc feels free, too. starting up the first time without pulsar software was like seeing it breathing deeply for the first time ever... even with the old p2 400...
and the RME hardware... wow. _no_ single bug i have seen. the software is slim, fast, and reliable. damn reliable, the whole stuff. i could easily write whole essays here  about the good feeling of native producing with just one good sequencer, a routing mixer (with fast level meters, i love them), and some plugs.
the stn ratio is better 100 dB even when the multiface is placed directly between crt monitor and audio monitor box... i work with mme drivers (!) and 3 ms latency. thats a good value even for asio...

all in all, i got rid of all the little and bigger issues of pulsar and creamware, and for the money i got for that, i was able to replace it with far more professional tools: not a jack-of-all-trades, but some single tools, which do their special jobs in a very reliable manner.
to be short: i am able to concentrate just on music again... feels good.

have fun. especially those who have money for enough sharcs  never mind my ill humor at all...

Mo

no no, sorry. u got me slightly wrong. pulsar is not bad itself - it´s just far too expensive for the value it offers, and i am happy to have changed my gear.
btw, gary, i was asked about it, so...

i am in no way a 'hater' or sort of that... believe it or leave it

would like to add something:
if pulsar (maybe IV or V) will once offer a reasonable price/performance ratio, i will join this club here again, with some creamware cards - but no day sooner...

maybe that shows my opinion about pulsar a little better to you, mr. gary b...

I don't think he was thrashing that much. Anyway, I don't feel any worse about my Pulsar now, than I did before reading Mo's post. If I did, maybe I should considder how happy I actually am with my CW-card. I guess, I passed the test , one day, I will start making music too LOL

hey, it´s all just tools. and pulsar is a cool tool. i wish i had the money for three pulsar or two scope cards - but i have not. so... in a few years i´ll be back to this party, when creamware has made it to offer me more.

btw, how are the new fx? psi-q and the optimaster? i am curious to hear

thank you for your comments, always have fun,
Mo
