EDS 8i - no sound after reloading project

Hi,
is there a fix for EDS 8i drum module?
there is no sound after reloading project

tested on my Xite. Initially no sound. After moving the volume knob a little = sound!

I recall having this bug years ago, in older Scope versions. Automating vol with a cc was my fix iirc, so that when I first hit play it would sound.
