I can get the cable to do my own but can not find anywhere in the UK that does the Edge connectors

the card edge connectors can be ordered.

Have you got a link I have looked all over for the part with no luck? Also struggling to find the parts to make one

Digikey carries everything, but any good electronics supply can get them. old floppy cables have them.
