Just couldn't resist to inform you that our Crowdfunding Campaign for our new Wireless MIDI Wind Controller has just started.

No DSP inside yet, but who knows ... we already have an internal expansion port for a small sound board inside the instrument.

Idea is also to provide a companion SCOPE plug-in for the SYLPHYO dedicated to wind playing technics for controlling the sound.

I tried the WX7 for my VL7, but didn't like it. It was way harder for me to learn than just playing on the keyboard with a BC1. And I used to play a clarinet!

wow, missed this... but looks awesome. The EWI is accessible, but it is what it is.. As a former clarinet player, I want to be able to control some pitch with embouchure.. doesn't look like that's in the plans though, damn pitch bend slider again.

Ken have you seen the BC device from homberg-research.de
Pressure seems to be applicable to pitch.

Hi Ken,

To be quite fair it IS in our plan to have some pitch with embouchure ... but not for the initial release.
We are modifying the current design to allow the first unit to get this type of upgrade though.

Depending on the mapping you decide to use, you could also use the breath control signal to also have an influence on pitch but it is hard to separate both signal without any extra sensor
