Sorry! I meant, of course AMBIENCE.
The image has been changed.

Hi all
Anyone interested in a clone of the "Precission K-Stereo Effect" of UAD.
With another algorithm, but the same effect, I think.
It does interest me if it is possible with Scope SDK replicate this effect.
I have the Precission K-Stereo UAD and can not tell the difference.

Peter

Thanks again, Peter! I'm not aware of any similar plug-in, so this will be very welcome I guess.
Looking forward to it

Typo? "Abience Processor"
By the way, here's a video with Bob Katz showing the K-version:

				Thanks Again.
I think AbIence means it's really FAT, referencing to the abdomen.
For example on Halloween I often become my alternate personality, and stuff pillows under a T-shirt with a Superman style logo, only it's an A instead of an S.
My cape is the same too, but I have a massive abdomen from the Pillows, so I am now a FAT Bastard, otherwise known as the American Superhero..."AbdoMan."

Peter, if you really insist, I'll maybe use this device. But only because it's you.

I went at UAD site to see what it's all about.. Fantastic ! Mastering tool is always welcome !!
Does it some processing like Psy Q ? I'm impatient to try it !

Me thought the same.
At least it has some qualities (functions) in common: cleaner lows, more space (reverbs do profit), enhanced stereo impression...
Would like to know more about the types of processing of the K.
It's not said that it'd be a different kind of processor. correction: Katz does, but I couldn't tell from the clip example of the clap.
The claim is that you can really pick out an instrument, like the clap with its reverb in the Katz clip.
I can do exactly that with the PsyQ, but as said to be contrary to the K-Stereo it will apply to any of the aimed frequencies.
Sadly the clap in the clip seems to be quite alone when it sounds, so I find it difficult to say from this specific demo part.
edit: thought I already added that I would warmly welcom another spacial/even remixing device, as I love these kind of finishing touch effects

I finally had time to look into this type of processor...this is exactly what I try to do when mixing short electronic sounds (like hi-hats) that have a little effect such as reverb on them to begin with, together with a larger mix. Isolating the up front sound from the background ambient "reverb" (in order to add more ambient space to the overall track) is often difficult without resulting in smearing. Which means going back and re-creating a sound that was often created by an analog synth to begin with...it's never 100% the same!
I am very curious how well this works!

				Thanks Peter!
to have a better understanding of the knobs in Peter's layout you can check this somewhat hidden page on the UAD site:
http://www.uaudio.com/blog/k-stereo-tips-and-tricks/
Can't compare to UAD's plugin, as I don't have it, but all seems to work as intended.
Will have a closer look soon

I put this type of plugin in the wish-list many moons ago.
This would be a very exciting addition to the scope platform.
Thanks Pete

				White Noise effect
Hi
In the UAD version the noise is present. Maybe not so much. I have uploaded a new version without noise. I think it is not necessary.

				Hi
I have provided a new version to download.
In this version, man can regulate the noise and leave with DSP-save.
Under the same link two devices are now available.
