A 16 ultra with RME babyface

I am an owner of A16 Ultra. I would like to try it with an external audio interface. Can I connect output of optical cable from the A16 ultra to ADAT input of RME babyface. It is compatible ? if not, give me some good ideas.

Some friends told me that I can do good combination (same quality) with MOTU audio interfaces who have the same price as a babyface. I wish to inform you that I want to utilise this combination also to work with ipad. What is your opinion ?
