By new year i think we'll have saved enough to an A16 and an SRB or other DSP expansion. Guess I won't need Zlink for A16, I have enough ADAT I/O on the 2 Pulsar1's. I'll route all audio (S-5000 & Triton, both expanded I/O's, fx and soundboards, MS2000) via the patchbay.

I'm nearly done with the testing, and except annoying 'CopyProtectionViolation' erros, after which the Pulsar app has to be closed and opened again, this system runs like a dream. Really. All midi remote seems about to be set-up.
The new card expansion will serve 2 goals: lower latency with 2nd generation cards, and of course more power. I find latency very good now in classic Pulsar mode (13ms @ 44.1), but too high in XTC.
And assuming developers received an XTC kit and XTC is running stable, it might be very handy for mastering purposes (not for sound creation really cos 'click-and-connect', no advanced routings) and automation.

Cos automation, my friends, is what makes your music live.
