hello

what do you guys think is better/more solid GA-H55M-USB3 \GA-H55-USB3\ga-P55UDL3 ?

cpu is i7 860 but other suggestions will be welcomed

whats the difference between p55 \h55 chipset? whats better for scope cards?

ddr - kingstone or g.skill? 1333 or 1600hrz?

what power supply will be sufficient for this system?, i understand antec have the quieter ones on the market , am i wrong?

what about SSD drive ? is it upgrades the workflow\speed? is it recommended with scope? which kind if so?

i really want a solid daw so any suggestions\tips are welcomed ,

H55 has integrated graphics, the P55 does not. i don't think it matters that much, if you are using a PCIe graphics card anyway. just be sure you have the latest bios.

the brand of ram probably doesn't matter that much. you do want to get ram from a reputable supplier. both g-skill and kingston qualify. you don't need the fancy heat spreaders. i'd get the faster ram, as long as the motherboard specificly supports the speed and voltage of the ram.

for a power supply get the biggest good quality supply you can sfford, at least 400watts if it's a first rate supply like Antec, or at least 550-600watts if it's more generic. i'd err on the side of extra power, especially with three cards. i'd probably buy a 650-800 watt supply myself. typically, the more efficient bronze/silver/platinum supplies are the better quality ones. avoid supplies under 80% efficiency.

an SSD will mainly help with boot times. an SSD machine boots in under a minute. really, though, a regular HD is more reliable. you don't want to use an SSD to record to, since an SSD can only be overwritten a limited amount of times. SSDs are great for sample libraries and they're nice for a C drive. you don't really need one.

just buy good quality parts and avoid "no name" bargain parts and you shouldn't have any trouble. avoid socket 1155 motherboards right now and you should be good.
