classic deep house for dance

choreographed a short piece for our office talent show and wrote the tune for it. It's funny how a fairly successful career in theater dance directing boils down to a talent show...

Anyway, the tune is very classic house. Cool and a bit prog house sounding, and grows into a full dance classic deep house. The choreography is traditional, keeping it simple so the office dancers can execute the steps. House just seems to have passed by.. there's just so much of it. But I like house.

Only bit of trick here is the SIR verb on the entire track for a bit of a club 'verb. Really gives life to the kicks. Well, and of course the ever cool sounding chill piano. Synful for strings, and pianoteq for piano, the usual. Used focusrite VRM box to check the mix here and there.

Piano was laid back like Barry White, the EG of the synth during the CHimes was tasty, the intro was curve ball as good as Bob Gibson or Sandy Koufax...

I think the dancers did very well for a short 3 week prep period.
