Ok, I was with my Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3L (see here http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=29959) and all was a breeze since first of june.
For "a breeze" I mean that EVERYTHING was ok for 2,5 months of heavy duty.

Then, after a little holiday, precisely after 15gg of shutdown, I returned back to work on my music, and...
UAD software say to me the classic "seems to have passed a long time since last being used, confirm that the date is ..", oh, that's ok, so I clicked yes.
Damn, after 1-2 minutes 2 scope boards and 2 UAD-1 (all 4 PCI) stopped to work together.
Conflict happens!
Now after 4 days of trying and reinstall of drivers I cannot set all as before! I must keep almost one UAD-1 outside my PC!

I've tryed almost all solutions, but the BIOS don't allow (no selection voice inside!) to set IRQ univoque to one single PCI slot. So I cannot "force" the system to the good IRQ array.
I've switched obviously of everything that I won't use, but even if I.E. the IRQ 20 becomes free, the system keep the IRQ 19 shared between Scope and USB (just an example).

If I put all 4 PCI inside I obtain or the UAD disappearing into WinXp sp3 or a noisy sound signal from Scope.

Help or opinion are welcome...

yeah, such heat may be a real problem
it's less the absolute temperature but the lack of difference between cooler and surrounding that makes it fail.
If you can find a way to operate it (open, with a fan blowing over it or whatever comes to mind)
then: unplug powercord, switch it on/off a couple of times to discharchge caps (use the switch on the PSU and(!) the regular startup button), wait a couple of minutes, reconnect power and boot.
This often cures messed values that remain in memory after a 'regular' reboot and even power cycle.

if it's REALLY hot inside, you may consider guiding the airflow of an 'office' fan by some wet clothes.
The evaporation will drop air temperature significantly.

anyway a modern BIOS without IRQ setting choice is a shame!

Solved by switching from ACPI mode to MPS multiprocessor mode.
In this way WinXP manages new IRQ relocation, and now all seems to work ok.
The only annoying issue is "now you can switch off the PC" message on shutdown...

I really don't know why they produce MB without a IRQ choice to PCI slot into the BIOS!!!
The motherboard would be a good card (i7 with 2PCIe+4PCI) apart this lack!
I really hope for an alternate BIOS done by hackers (as some others MB around).

Finally solved with a huge (24cm) silent fan.
The problem was the summer to 45°C and a poor air circulation!!!
After the fan installation all becomes fully functional as before.
So, guys, don't underestimate the air flow into your case!

Really quiet, quieter than standard 8cm or 12 cm fans because it works at very low RPM!
