overclocking I7-930 ?

i am given the opportunity to buy a second-hand, brand new MoBo Gigabyte X58 with 3 PCI slot and an I7-930, socket 1366

originially, if i had bought a 1366 socket and not a new 1155, I planned to buy an i7-950 buy i would spend about 100 euro less with the 930.

my question is: are the performances significantly lower?

is there some scope user that overcloccked with success the 930 to higher values?

often, lower clocked chips and higher clocked chips are the exact same chip.....

i doubt the performance difference is that extreme, either way. i'd save the $100, unless you just can't stand it.
