Creamware A16 (older) Tip (-) ring (+)

Hallo,
I have a TDAT A16 older version (blue paint). (not Ultra the 18 bit version)
The manual I find online says tip (-) ring (+) is this accurate?

regarding the outputs you really should pay attention to another statement in the manual:
The output stages cannot drive the zero Ohm load (the 'plus' signal is short-circuited) of a fully inserted mono-plug.
There's a good chance (and it has been reported to happen) that you damage the unit.

To use unbalanced at -10dB should the tip (-) be left to "float" or should he be grounded to the sleeve? I think I will fashion a snake cable with trs to rca cables, as my main board is rca.
