Non responsive system

Post by massusen »

Hi,

after a long time without using the Scope system, I fired it up yesterday to do some dubsub basses for a project. Started fine, project loaded my standard equipment, though I sensed some weirdness as synths gets loaded one after another and the DSP load meter doesn't move. Tried playing one of the synths over MIDI, doesn't react. Loaded a noddle in modular, no sound.

So, anyone had the same experience? Software error? Hardware? As I*m still running v. 4 upgrading to 5.5 seems as the obvious step, but not if it's selfevident that the hardware somehow has malfunctioned...

Running a two card setup - Pulsar and SRB, on a 4 core Win machine. This setup has worked earlier, even though it was... almost two years since I used it.

What does your samplerate window say? Maybe you had the Scope system slaved to an external source which is no longer connected, and the samplerate is idling?

Were the cards freshly installed or have they been sitting there for a while? Maybe give the contacts a clean and wiggle the boards in their slots a bit to ensure good contact. Do the same to the STDM connectors too.

PS. If you can send me the link to the Scope 5.5 upgrade I would be very happy.

Hehe, well I obviously revealed how updated I am. The samplerate is a safe bet. Gonna try that. Thanks!
