XTC Mode is not running!

I´ve made a fresh installation from 2609 to 2615 with uninstalling and deleting all material on my harddrive (no registry changes).
Installation finished without errors. I keeped the hardware driver in the system before updating but during installation this driver
was confimed as up to date. I started scope and enabled the xtc mode. i quit the application and started cubase studio 4.5.
After checking the available plug ins the system changes to blue screen just as the cubase software normally starts.

In the blue screen there is following error message:

stop: 0x0000008E (0x0000005, 0xB96ADD85, 0xB585EAAC, 0x00000000)
scscope.sys - address B96ADD85 base at B96A9000, Datestamp 49f76661

I have used the xtc mode in 4.0 and version 4.5 without xtc mode without errors.

Any help?

Well, the hardware driver was updated from version 2609 and there has one to be installed so the new version 2615 can find my scope professional. During the installation there is a hardware driver check which says that the driver is up to date...

I only get a blue screen when trying to use xtc mode. If I disable XTC function and use the Scope environment everything runs normal.

just a reminder for setting up XTc in the old 4.5:
create an xtcproject.pro, and check that there is not more sequencer midi connection than declared in the scope driver.
add intblksize in cset.ini (don't forget to check numhost,.. for multicard user)
erase vstplugin file from cubase app directory to force a rescan from at the correct latency.
authorize xtc
launch DAW.

I have tried the valis batch file and fresh installation but same problem...

All settings in the xtcproject.pro are correctly set as i have before in scope 4.

I have exactly the same problem! - Allways get that bluesreen when Cubase starts!
I´ve tried also every thing..I belive it is a driver problem!

I use two cards in my system a pulsar 1 (4DSP) + a powersampler card (3 DSP)!
It works fine in standalone mode but if I will use XTC the system crashes!

Who can help?

I switched back to 4.5 and verything works no fine again!

Well, i have a nvidia grafic card but why does the system break in xtc mode and not in scope mode? for me it looks more like an incompatibility with the driver / xtc project / settings or maybe old data from previous versions which let my system crash when starting xtc mode with updated version... strange thing anyway! especially for the official update!

Any news in this respect? I have the same problem and a change of the driver of my graficcard didn't cure the thing.

Well, as i have bought new hard drives for my pc and reinstalled windows with every software, now i have made xtc mode running. but guess what! i do not use it because there is no oxe installer, you still can not edit the parameter of the devices manually and more buggy stuff. i am dissappointed!

It was so easy after I got THE hint from Soniccore support - CUBASE MUST RUN IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE -


Everything goes smooth as a CREAMWARE now !

??? Really solved ????

After it ran smooth I wanted to move Scope 5 to another drive. Then the same old bluescreen reappeared and again i cant get rid of it although I use the Admin mode.

Got it working finally. It was a conflict with activesync and specifically the file rapi.dll (as descibed at another place here in the forum). After renaming this file, everything worked immediately. It seems, Cubase must not run in administrator mode.
