MB4-II

Post by spacef »

Hello !

I have released MB4-II which is an enhanced version of the MB4 "I" which comes with FP and Valve mixers.
MB4-II is not free (only MB4-I is given with the FP/Valve mixers). MB4-II is really for those who want to go beyond the MB4-I or need more flexible bus network.
The big difference between MB4 I and II is the 64 gains and 64 pans for the bus inputs, modulated aux and other modifications of details.

Best regards

Mehdi

PS: some of you saw the MixSat C2 info on the site and thought it was a new device: in fact MixSat C2 was never referenced on the site, and now it is.
The latest version of MixSat C2 can be found only in the "BlackBox Repack May 2008" and is named "MixSatC2.dev" as it should replace the previous version(s) in all projects. It doesn't have any version info in the device name, which could be confusing...

MB4-II (picture is smaller than the original which area is 1120*606 )

I've been testing the MB2 for some time now. I really like it!
one setup I did was to configure all the gain-knobs (at the bottom) as cross-faders.

So the 8 faders on my controller are each crossfading 2 gain-knobs on the MB4. One
could also cross-fade the same input between 2 busses. Or crossfade gain & pan differntly.

The dry/wet parts on the busses are also _very_ usable, especially together with the
modulation inputs. LimFat is a very good companion for this mixer :D

I use it as a way to take instruments from Gigastudio or Kontackt that share similar effects and group them together.

For me to have 12 channels of MIDI for my Romplers I have to chain my synths and share MIDI channels w/ the sub preset lists and insert FX, but MB4 II is perfect for the Romplers and FB5 can run all of my synths since it's such a great live Ax.

Glad to see you doing some many original ideas on mixing schemes. These custom mixers are perfecy for that.

When are going to DJ at a club or party? You seem well armed.

Ableton Live, and Kyma are what most DJ's in the Vegas clubs are using. Dual Mackies, Fader Foxes and Crest DJ mixers too. But they don't have a SpaceF mixer..... :D
