 i doubt it!
I am starting to loose faith in this! not because of the product! not because they take more time than they should! ( they are making the software work! that is good! and i dont care how long it takes!)
not because i am not happy to see the cubase 4 update!

But because of the horrible PR!
-sending emails out to people in april/maj that says that scope 5 will be available in a couple of weeks..
-having the "soon" on their homepage for more than 6 months!
-not having a "the monthly progress of scope 5"-blog, just to make us exited about the new features!

... ahh! nice!...
i feel better now :D

SC- keep up the good work! but please work on your PR :)

I believe the latest statement to be accurate.

Evertime I go on vacation, 3rd Party releases becomes available, an SDK treat is released, or something from SC is released.

I see no reason for this to change. :x :D

How could I possibly enjoy myself knowing my box is sitting on a shelf in SoCal ? Well because GaryB is gaurding it.

By all means open it up and share your experience w/ it !!! It begs you to.

I am already amazed by all what they have done in few months so I am ready to wait until september now. Furthermore we now know Xite is a reality whatever happens. The prototype was alive at the Namm show so it is just a matter of days or weeks now. I think it was important to anounce the product at the Namm show. Many people are now aware of this release even if that means a quite long wait for scopers.... Soniccore is about to launch an incredible DSP based studio product and although we would have hoped more information.... secret is a very good marketing weapon too  ...

Keep the faith ... and wait for THE summer special !!!! :D

This is another way of saying ‘soon' with added hope in it.

I'm realistic...
I hope at least for Xmas 2008!

Not worry, I've heard some days ago, a little mysterious voice that said: "S|C works actually on ZIP file creation of Scope 5.0 installer" :D

So if not tomorrow, 8 august...

Wait

Marketing was never a Creamware strong point. I suspect by stirring things up months in advance they benefit from the sales of plug-ins and other devices that many would have otherwise ignored. Makes perfect sense to me. I say let these guys do what it is they do. As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the smartest audio companies on planet earth. Rock on.

Have to agree 110%. Totally outstanding work these guys have done & are continuing to do.

People need to calm down & take what they get when they get it. :)

I think 8-8-08 is a possible date. They're blazing it pretty big on their site...that might be an indirect way of telling us the release date...though I don't know why they don't just come out and say it???

At least it's not "Juli" anymore.

You guys just need to learn "software time!"

I visited a company several months ago that told me a particular product would be available in mid-June. I said "Oh, okay, first week in August then." They looked at me kind of funny, like I didn't understand "mid-June" so they repeated, "no, mid-June" and I said "Right, first week in August."

Guess what just showed up a couple days ago :)?

And this is a company that's pretty good about meeting deadlines. That's why I only added six weeks instead of six months. The last few details of the software always take the most time.

A friend of mine worked in the software gaming industry up until just recently. He was working such long hours for so long he finally burned out and went to work for a regular company as a data analyst or something like that. More money. Less hours. I thought slave labor had been abolished but apparently it's alive and well in the software gaming industry.

Overtime isn't too bad when you're getting paid for it, but too many people are doing it for nothing other than keeping their employer happy, which is really sad. I've done that myself in the past, but tbh, it was primarily because I had a lot of pride in my work & wanted to to the best job possible - even if it meant unpaid OT.
