This indeed looks nice! I will demo both soon, if i decide to buy one i hope the Summer sale price lasts awhile after XITE-1's release.

Incredible.

I can't keep up w/ all of stuff you have been doing in the last year.

I am looking forward to using this on synths. 256 steps?...........DayAmn.

it's basically 32 steps "on the interface" , and you can chain an infinity of 32-steps-groups or presets, which is a bit like the pattern sequencer in old programs like notator (and was re-implememted in Cubase SX 4).
On the interface it is easy to program 2/4/ or 8 groups of 32 steps, (you simply type in the relevant section).
So it is 32 / 64 / 128 / 256, or more.
Then it is a bit more conceptual, but still easy once you get it: you save "presets of suite of 8 presets" (this means presets of a 256-step sequence) and then it can sequence those "refill groups". So basically, you can sequence an extremely high number of steps, virtually infinite.

You can also sequence sub presets (it is faster, sometimes enough): pattern preset list, mute preset list, gates only....
You can do it manually too (you input the desired preset numbers, then you press a button to change when needed.

This is possible in LBH VIII only though, as MiniQuencer is made to remain super light and useable with little dsp and the inifinite step sequencing of LBV III takes a good amount of ressources. In MiniQuencer, it is simply made by program change. So it can do infinite sequences too, but not as automatically as LBH VIII

Miniquencer= 3 dsps approx with osc/filters/simple fx (may depend on the said osc/filters/fx)
LBH VIII: 8 dsps approx (example with 8 osc, a few filters, aux delay fx, limfat)

You can import MQ presets into LBH VIII if needed.

I think it will be for this week and should be added to Sonic Core specials, when i finish another of the triggered oscillator and double checked the dev twice again.

It is national hollyday today and i decided to take all hollydays now, especially when it is a monday-hollyday :-)

See ya

have a nice day

I must also experiment with the scope direct sound modules (if they're still there) because
i'm really fed up of distorded sound from soundblaster-"live" on the videos (the tails on the high noise percussion should sound very fine, but here, it is distorded and doesn't release as it should, and sounds dirty). I think ds or soundcard modules could work, will have to check that too.

Awesome stuff.

6 DSP's is cool. Xite-1 has gone from 10 x the power to a guarentee of 5 x the power so I still think I'll be alright.

this would be awesome if it had great big controls and the window was 1024 x 768 so i could use it on my touch screen :)

as for distortion, why dont you record with vdat and then sync it back to the video?

ah.. always sounded too complicated and cpu unfriendly for my little computer :)
i might have to learn to do it....

edit:
well in fact it is just 118 pixels width away from what you ask .... 1142*724 now...
i could try a tightened version ... but the future seems 1600 width ...
what touch screen do you use ?

just a cheapo ELO i got from ebay its really meant for my CNC mill i am building but decided to hook it up to music pc
to do some experiments with, since the mill project is going very slow at the moment!
you can get them for around $150, i thought it would be cool to use with sequencer, or maybe a sort of big scope kaoss pad thing.

Hi all !

Yes, a demo of LBH VIII is available.

There is a demo of LBH VIII for BlackBox (loads various BB2 oscillators on loading) and a "standard" version (loads the demo oscillators by default, leving you the task to change each oscillator shape (try sine for osc #4, and various shapes for the other oscillators. Mutes and solos are included to help you (they are found at the bottom right, "M" and "S" buttons).

There should be plenty of room for touch screens by centering the device on screen (hiding extreme left or right), may depends on screen size too.

Have a nice week end

Mehdi

Wow, if one doesn't mind putting in the extra effort, this could be a workaround for Scope's 1st Audio / MIDI Sequencer. I welcome this, and although this will take the ease and comfort of Cubase away, I will gladly put in the extra time as this is what I have been wanting for the longest time. It isn't a full fledged sequencer, but I need something that can sync a live performance together where my keyboards can recieve note on and off commands that will allow me to flip through articulations live w/o having to dedicate one of my hands to trigger a new instrument.

XITE-1 will allow so much power that one project can be used to record / track / and master. But all of this in a single project seems to good to be true.

My vital questions have been answered.

Maybe in 2009 we will see a new STS for 64 bit, and I can carry a laptop to work w/ 2 lightweight 88 noters.

I think XITE-1 and Soniccore have the chance to take a nice chunk of a niche market. I pray they sell well so we can see more developements to make Scope the only application ever needed.
