XITE-1 DAW

I have figured out my next move for a live DAW.

Obviously I will keep the AES/EBU card as I will need a good sounding soundcard, and since it has all of the keys, I/O's, and sound quality already, the extra DSP's are a bonus when combined with an XITE-1.

The new Wolfdale CPU's @ the 45nm fab are the best CPU's ever designed in terms of power, reliability, and power / heat dissaption.

I will get a nice new 2U design w/ a riser card, and simply buy everything new for a fresh start based on an Intel MB, and E8500. I already know that this is plenty for recording, since it dan use so many instruments in a live venue w/o any difficulty what so ever. 8GB's of RAM will ensure my future loads for quite some time.

This will be a quiet box that allows me to use a new HDD for the OS in a 3.5" Drive bay, and a 3 into 2 SATA RAID cage to house the newest Raptors. I must use 3 HDD's so I can continue to spread my libraries across 3 HDD's for faster recall, and the massive polyphony required by Gigastudio 4.

All recordings can use an external HDD where fast access isn't vital for my live productions.

I will have 2 x Scope Pro's and various SKB cases that I will let go of for next to nothing.

iStar uses quality aluminum and cold rolled steel.

They actually have an exclusive military contract also.

I often watch the military channel here in the states to see what they stuff in those SKB shock racks.

20"s deep fits perfectly inside the SKB's.

Once I see XITE-1 and my 1 card DAW running smooth, there will be plenty of stuff up for grabs.
