Plan for new PC - comments please !

OK
This is a plan i've got so far::- (edited)
Case - Antec Titan (to fit Scope Pro)
CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz 12M Cache S775 1333MHZ
(Yorkfield - 45nm)
Motherboard - Asustek S775 Intel X38 ATX Audio Lan (Maximus Formula)
- based on Intel X38 chipset (2 normal PCI 2.2 slots)
or Gigabyte / DTI board
RAM - 4GB G.Skill DDR2 PC2-8000 PQ Series (5-5-5-15) Dual Channel kit
Hard Drives - Seagate Barracuda 750GB 7200RPM S300 32MB
Seagate Cheetah 15000 RPM 73GB U320 SCSI 3.5"
Comments please!

you won't be able to use more than 4gb ram for xp(with the /3GB switch), nor will you likely need to.

I was thinking of 8Gb beacuse of the release of new Vista Drivers and Vista is more hungry for RAM.
Altough I prefer XP it might be a pre-requisite to have a Vista system if I want the PC to last 3-4 years without upgrading.
I'll have to see what happens when users start testing Vista SP1 with the new Scope 5 Vista drivers

F**k Vista

- and its 4Gb of RAM
But I'm still looking forward to Scope 5.....I'll wait until the announcement!
And wait for XP SP3!

BTW: I've used ASUS motherboards - does anyone like other brands?

Look at Gigabyte as well..
Do a search here, and a few will show up that´s recommended.
