...and you never guess who was heavily involved in the creation of the bx_control ...

(just see the credits within the device)
-greetings, markus-
ps. the bx_control lingered hidden in the SC shop for more than 2 weeks...

not that I would be aware of. maybe the dark side of me does, at night, when I'm asleep...

I mentioned the bx_control in the offtopic forum, when it was first offered with shipping costs added to it

				Hi,
Simple question (probably stupid).. How does this plugin fit with bx_digital?
Is it complementary, or does bx_digital already have this functionnality and bx_control is like a "little brother" of bx_digital?
Thanks!
Raul

Hi, this is Dirk from Brainworx.
Basically bx_control is a tool that has some features that are in bx_digital. You can use it to insert any other plugin into the BX M/S technique, and you have the possiblilty to receord M/S mics with it. The SOLO buttons are featured, etc.
If you own bx_digital you can do everything that you could do with bx_control.
Still bx_control is a cool little, DSP effiecient tool if you don“t need all the power of bx_digital in certain situations (like EQ bands, de-esser, etc.).
Cheers, Dirk.
PS: Yes, thank you (!) to ERIC from DAS for helping us with this release!

Brainworx contacted Ralf for me for demo. Ralf created a expiring demo that timed out after 6 hours. There are also Native demos wich i tried as well. The plugins are truly high quality sounding and allow for flexible processing of sounds. I'm glad i finally stumbled on these and opened my eyes to them. They are jewels imo.

bx_control manual wrote:... simply place any stereo plug-in (actually, double mono units work best, so you can adjust M & S individually...)

i want to get the bx control, but what double mono effects do actually exist in scope? i 'only' found moveq+, transient designer and grapheq...anything else there?
i guess it's the easiest way to avoid phase issues. but i think graph eq is not good for mastering and i'm not sure if moveq will be neutral enough to do the job. i like it a lot though...

				check the panning

one thing i noticed on mixes with brainworx is if you have 2 mono files of two seperate tracks of guitars and pan them far left and far right in scope, then enact brainworx mid side, one of the panned guitars will go positionally back toward the middle shortening the pan, along with spacef's c4's , weird, or a drum kit thats panned like a real one, say hi hat on the right, enable brainworx, then the hat goes more to the centre, ....
