Did anyone compare the performance inpact of local GUI vs RDP/VNC ?


I am looking to buy 1x22" 1x24" monitors. I can connect them too my laptop to get one huge screen (tm)!

Then using RDP capable tools its possible to get a very big resolution strechted over the 2 monitors!

Another advantage would be switching between 2 DAW's, and having the big screen for both DAW's, or dedicate a screen to a remote session.......

although probably good enough for moving knobs etc, with a fast connection (not wireless) it might not fast enough for real time metering, if you need that.

I use remote desktop all the time at work. its very reliable.
