New PC setup - thoughts?

Hi guys,
I thought I would ask here as you're more likely to know than me ;)

I'm shortly going to be completely updating my PC with a midrange scope card at it's hub. Could I have opinions on setups that wouldn't have any compatability issues?

I've no problem buying individual parts
I'm not looking for things like monitors / keyboards, only internal hardware

Thank you!

I've just ordered these:

- Asus P5BR mobo, P35 chipset, 3 PCI slots, DDR3 support, 45nm CPU support
- Intel quad core 6600 cpu
- Asus geforce 8600 passively cooled display adapter
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500G SATA2 disk
- 4 gigs of DDR2 memory (DDR3 is too expensive)
- a quiet power unit

All in all this is around 800€. I have nothing but good to say Asus' mobos so I'd recommend it, costs around 100€. The newer IC<something> chipset is expensive as hell but marginally quicker.

The 6600 cpu is the cheapest quad-core, around 200€, while the next +200MHz model is almost 500€.

Display adapter is arounf 200€ aswell and should be the quickest quiet adapter around.

DDR3 memory would be quickest but costs 150€ per gig.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 was the quickest drive in Tom's HD chart so that was my choice.

I'll try to make the case as quiet as possible and see if I have to do my recordings in my garage or not

Just checked that the adapter has dual dvi outputs.
