Today all of the Overclockers tested the new 45nm CPU's.
The only real test that would be helpful for audio is a multi-threaded LAME test using the Intel compiler.
All I know is thanks to this CPU, everything I know that will rock is much cheaper.
With my 3GB switch and P35 OC'd DAW will give me a 60 % boost in my app., and the only other boost for Creamware is more DSP's.
So the " faster new CPU's ", and 64bit, just aren't needed for a while in my DAW.
