I have two processor one core duo (pentium dual core ) firs generation E2180 1800 Mhz and my friends have one core 2 duo second generation 2,3MHz E6xxx,we have made one test with Guitar rig and suced some of strange;we have select one preset in core duo 2 machines that give one load of 35% in core 2 duo, whit surprise after mouting my core duo E2180 in my machine the same preset give to me 22% of cpu load!?!
The core duo E2180 processor have one difference of 600 MHZ bat give performance under the core duo 2 up of 15 % than core duo 2 that work at 2.333 Mhz
It,s very strange,
now my intentiom is overclock the core duo E2180 at 2.6 Mhz ad repeat the test

Anyt comment is appreciate

imho these figures just indicate how much the CPU is engaged, not how well (or powerful) it is performing.
stupid example: if I hog up a program in an idle loop, it shows 100% CPU load, but isn't really doing anything but jump into and out of the loop repeatingly. ;)

don't worry about performance - 95% of all applications waste at least 75% of the calculation power anyway.
it's not a typo - most applications could run 4 times as fast ... that's why clockrates are just... boring :D

cheers, Tom
