I might be able to get 2 mac's for cheap!! hopefully for free. My friend said it where MAC G3 machines. I am sure these are plenty tp run scope on ?!??!
What are fair used prices for G3 machines (I dont know whats inside yet...) ?
I think this will be good machines to use as dedicated DAW's!

sorry, I'm afraid you're completely on the wrong track here...
these machines have a PCI based videocard and most likely a very bad PCI bandwidth. Memory may be pretty expensive by today's standards (Mac office machines got along with amazingly few...).
Afaik they don't support harddisks > 120 MB
A Mac G4 'Sawtooth' is the lowest model I'd suggest. Together with the 'Quicksilver' it was the workhorse of the product family.
