Help for a motherboard.....

Post by x-sample »

Hi u all m8s...
I need to replace my audio machine since mine was fried by an overload.
Btw, I need to know a motherboard with 4 PCI (I've got 2 LunaII and 2 TC Powercore) able to run a core 2 quad.
Any suggestion?
I tried to search for this kind of product and the only thing I got was:
1) ASROCK 4CoreDual-VSTA
2) Asus Commando (but I've got some doubts about it...It seems there are 4 PCI slot).
Anyway...do you feel there's the possibility to add a PCI extender (like a Magma hardware, the one used in ProTools setup?).
Thank yoiu in advance
Cheers

I'm going to wait a few weeks and see if these show up:

X38 has PCIE v2, which may be a good thing in the long run.

The Intel 975X and Intel 965 Express chipsets are the recommendation. Something like an Intel 975X BadAxe2 is a nice motherboard. Asus P5B Deluxe is nice. If you have money, the Gigabyte and ASUS P35 motherboards are nice.

In your situation, you might ping the board to see if anyone wants to seel you a NOAH EX. Might be hard to come by, but it would take the computer out of the equation for the moment.
