Yo
Ive just bought a new video card and re-kindled my interest in games again. Got an Nvidia 8800 GTS 320 , this is a nice beast of a video card without spending too much. CAn run Lost Planet @ 1280 X 990 perfectly!! ( no AA with Trilinear filtering, AA is a crock of sh** when u get to these resloutions anyway)
I can Play lost planet and Counter strike with scope and it has no Dramas , Works perfectly. When I play Battlefield 2142 however, I get a clicking sound that seems to happen every 0.5 seconds. In the options i have chosen Both Software and hardware rendering and still have the same problem,
Ive tried using all the Scope Software I/O's ( Wave source, Soundcard source , 24 bit Wave source).
Has anybody Got any ideas on this one ?? It seems weird to me that all my other games work fine. (Actually its not really suprising Because its an EA title

Sorry for posting to my own reply but i think i found the Drama. I use a Behriger ADA8000 and usually have to set to slave and let scope be the master.
I changed the ADA8000 to be the master and set scope to Slave of the ADAt A and now the clicks are GOOOOONE!!
I dont know the technical Reason behind this but it seemed to fix it.. especially weird as it would work for some games but not others
Now im going to " PWN some NOOBS!!" as the Uber Nerds of gaming would say lol!! :

cancel My Elation .. I was fooled by the intro music .. It works fine but as soon as the game engine takes over .... CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK... ahh well not too worried .. Lost Planet wipes the Floor with Bf 2142 anyways...
So if any one Still got any ideas I would love to hear them

:D
Edit .. Its working Better now .. I set both Scope and ADA8000 to master and ran the game .. worked okay for a bit then started clicking .. then in game I clicked the ADA back to Slave and now its working fine..
We will see what happens next time i run the game... So am I right in saying its a Sync problem ??

hey stompa, I think I had some similar problems.
For now I always switch to my onboard audio when playing and for normal use.
BTW I am a huge battlefield2 fan. Its the best multiplayer shooter, since wolfenstein RTCW which was my favorite by a long time.
Thats why my nick in Battlefield2 is wolfenstein2005
I don`t like counterstrike so far, as I hate to wait for respawn soo long.
And yes I agree battlefield2 is pretty shitty programmed game. There are some lags even with high end systems.

hmmm very intersting. I get exactly the same clicking problem with my Pulsar II card while it is connect via ADAT to my Yamah 03D mixer. The mixer is slave and the card is master. The problem seems to be there when I am just working on the dekstop, but disappears when I start cubase. I never really bothered to check it out, but will now, and let you know what I find....
